Due to the Group's growing requirements for the finance function, the new role of Management Accountant has been created - reporting to the Financial Controller.

The role will comprise:
Supporting finance team members in transactional processing as business volumes grow to obtain a very detailed/hands-on knowledge of the activities. This will facilitate the automation/improvement of current practices/activities within the department tofully leverage the capabilities of the Sage200 software.

Provision of financial management information to the Board and Managers associated with actual business performance, budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning.

To provide managers with appropriate cost management information on a regular, monthly and ad hoc basis as required, ensuring that they receive first-class financial analysis and management accounting support. This will include knowing in all of these areas,where, how and why all operating costs are incurred and ensuring that this is fully shared with all managers.

The development of cost management information systems within Group companies including leading, in conjunction with the FC, improvements in the quality of financial management information Group-wide, to drive improved business performance and understandingof the key cost drivers.

Essential Criteria to be considered for the position include:

- Must be progressing towards a professional accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA
- Must have a proven track record of adapting to new systems quickly and effectively
- Experience in implementing automated accounting procedures

Desirable Criteria
- Experience gained in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in business process analysis/review/ re-engineering
- Experience of Sage200
