Wayfair Delivery Network (WDN) is Wayfair’s proprietary large parcel delivery network. Delivery is a core operational function at Wayfair that allows us to delight customers and drive repeat purchases.

**What You'll Do**:

- Play an active role in designing the transportation strategy and roadmap for WDN in the EU
- Build and update a database of transportation service providers in the UK and other European countries
- Design the partnership framework and build strategic relationship with mutually interested transportation providers
- Run the transportation procurement end-to-end
- Building and broadcasting RFPs
- Negotiating Contracts
- Partner Onboarding
- Run the performance management of carriers along with invoicing, billing, claims etc.
- Creating purchase orders after ensuring proper checks
- Verifying and processing invoices
- Reporting and processing claims
- Follow ups with carriers / suppliers to resolve any discrepancies
- Monthly and Quarterly Performance Management reviews with carrier partners
- Maintain Management Information Systems like cost reports, trackers, etc.
- Collaborate with all functions within Wayfair Delivery Network and Finance functions; provide support as directed.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Company and/or your supervisor or manager.

**What You'll Need**:

- Previous experience in Transportation Procurement in the UK (minimum 2-3 year is essential).
- Experienced in working within a fast-paced e-commerce, or retail environment is an advantage.
- An effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills with strong planning and forward-thinking capabilities.
- Strong relationship building and having an active network of various transportation providers
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, and provide a high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (G-Mail, GoogleSheets, GoogleForms); ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organisation and build internal and external relationships.
- Flexible and able to handle ad-hoc issues that may arise outside of core business.
- Knowledge of German is a plus
