The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Procurement Administrator on a 12-month fixed term contract, to assist in managing all day-to day activities under the scope of Global Procurement, delivering value to the business through operational processes and services.

This role will be a full-time, hybrid position with 2 days in our Lutterworth, Magna Park offices. You will be responsible for placing orders, liaising with suppliers, vendors and couriers.

The team

Avantor’s Procurement Associate is part of a team of 5 Procurement Professional individuals that specialise in planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases. Implement planned production schedules, labour loading and capacity requirements. Review schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules.

What we’re looking for
- Experience: 2 years of relevant administrative experience within procurement/supply chain or logistics
- Excellent team player
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- Reliable and confident working with mínimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and high-quality focus
- Ability to work under pressure and strong problem-solving skills.
- Capable of leading department meetings and organizing conference calls when required
- Collaboration tool: MS office, Excel at a high standard and SAP highly desirable but not essential

How you will thrive and create an impact

Manages all aspects of daily purchasing management.

Resolves all distribution centre, goods inwards queries with regards to deliveries/stock/purchase orders’ as appropriate.

Manages the alignment of Pricing.

Generates purchase orders and reviews requisitions, running PO reports when necessary.

Delivers on agreed metrics using TDM & ABS tools.

Resolves or escalates open PO service issues when necessary.

Supports with NPI’s when required.

Manages exceptions to the rule (Open PO Management).

Co-ordinates with tactical support teams.

Liaises with the global sales and customer service teams to ensure all information regarding open purchase orders are communicated.

Coordinates with transport in conjunction with import and export shipments.

Liaises with freight forwarders for shipment arrangements.

Attends regular supplier operational meetings, highlighting service issues and finding suitable solutions.
