We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Sessional Workers to join our summer program full of fun and excitement. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference by supporting disabled children and young people to play, have fun, and enjoy an amazing summer. With work available across the whole summer, you can choose as much or as little work as you would like and can work in Dudley, Sandwell or across both areas to suit you.
**About Us**:
At Kids, we offer a stimulating and inclusive play environment in a secure site as well as offsite activities at community venues. We offer opportunities for disabled young people aged 5-25, their siblings and families to play and have fun.
Our centre in Dudley includes a large hall, art space, gaming room, sensory room and outdoor space. Our playscheme days here will include entertainers providing stimulating activities, structured activities such as crafts as well as opportunities for free play. We also offer a variety of exciting community activities at venues such as inflatable parks, trampoline parks, bowling, and cinemas. Our family events range from fun days and carveries to animal handling, Paralympics days and more.
**The Role**:
As a Summer Sessional Worker, you will:
- Support children and young people in adventurous, creative, and imaginative play.
- Engage in activities both indoors and outdoors, including community outings and fun-filled days out.
- Provide a supportive, stimulating, and inclusive environment where all children can thrive.
- Ensure the safety of the children by adhering to all safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Undertake training and induction, working alongside experienced staff in a fantastic team.
- Provide personal care and assist with the preparation of food and snacks as needed.
