**Job Description**:
Pertemps are working with a leading company based in the Glasgow area who are looking to add to their Purchasing department. The role is for a Purchasing Group Leader and is initially for a period of 6 months and the salary is up to £30k depending on experience.

A pivotal role within the Purchasing Team ensuring success by leading and managing a small team to expedite tasks within the Purchasing Department.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Reviewing current systems and processes, making recommendations, and implementing positive change.- Building new and developing ongoing relationships with key suppliers, providing regular feedback on performance through monthly monitoring of KPI’s.- Sourcing new and monitoring suppliers, keeping to price, delivery, and quality standards.- Advising Purchasing Controller/Purchasing Manager where a provider is failing to deliver services in accordance with the contractual specification.- Responsibility for Management of staff, including appraisals and development. Continually driving performance and improving efficiency.- Monitor the achievement of departmental and business objectives at team and individual level.- Supporting the Purchasing team to achieve the Company goals and develop direct reports.- Facilitate continuous improvement process.- Continuously strive to increase contract value for money- Establish an appropriate programme for the team to review contracts and SLA’s through appropriate monitoring and contract compliance systems.- Respond to internal audit reviews and implement action plans within agreed deadlines.- Working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient communication.- Occasional travel as required**Desirable**
- Previous Line Management responsibility- Highly experienced within a Purchasing environment- Previous experience forecasting- High level of numerical and analytical experience.To find out more please contact Linda Currie
