We are looking for another like minded individual to join the team of staff and volunteers at the Block Fen Animal Centre nestles in the heart of delightful Cambridgeshire as an Animal Care Assistant on a full time basis to help care for the animals and maintain good health & safety procedures.

The position will be working 35 hours per week, between 08:30 am to 4.30 pm on a rota covering seven days a week, which will also include three weekend out of four.

The role of Animal Care Assistant can be challenging at times and physically demanding, but equally rewarding as you get to be a part of some of the amazing transformations that the animals undertake. ACA's are very important to the day to day running of the centre, and some of the work includes attending to the needs of the individual animals including providing exercise and grooming all animals within the care of the centre, completing relevant paperwork and administration.

**About You**

- Previous experience working with domestic animals would be very advantageous, some of the animals we receive are traumatised and have challenging behavioural issues, being confident with animal handling is very important.
- Good communicator and able to work within a team as well as taking ownership, and using initiative.
