WooWoo is the UK’s leading supplier of eco-toilets (compost toilets) for public and private use. Our team primarily works from home and while everybody is in constant contact with each other through chat, calls and video meetings, we also aim to meet up in person every couple of months.

**Job description**

The role is essentially a sales role with a primary emphasis on generating new business. As such, it involves elements of business development, client relations, customer service, lead generation and direct marketing.

Our product portfolio encompasses a variety of products appealing to both B2B and B2C customers. We have a diverse range of customer groups from boaters and campervan owners to campsites, golf clubs, heritage organisations, parish councils and many other types of organisations and people.

**Tasks and responsibilities**:

- Create/maintain relationships with councils and organisations
- Drive new business through outbound campaigns
- Keep up-to-date with press releases, tenders and contracts
- Respond to inbound customer enquiries
- Follow up with prospects
- Record interactions and progress in our customer database (CRM)
- Learn about our products and stay up-to-date with processes and policies
- Work on different projects on an ad hoc basis as needed

We offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme as well as the kind of flexibility and responsibility that comes with being a part of a small team. The working hours can be flexible, both in terms of how many are required and when they should be worked - we do not have a clear preference and are primarily concerned with finding the right person so let’s move on to that.
- Has previously worked in a sales or marketing role (experience in public sector sales would be highly advantageous as a significant portion of our business involves selling to councils)
- Has excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Enjoys the process of helping and connecting with people
- Maintains a structured and organised approach to their work
- Has a reasonable degree of technical competency, although you don’t need to be Elon Musk to learn how to use our systems and processes (G Suite, CRM, cloud-based phone system, etc.)

Empathy, honesty and integrity are key traits that would make someone a good fit for our team, while a can-do attitude and positive energy is needed for tackling the tasks ahead. An interest in learning and growing would be desirable as the role has potential to evolve in line with the continued growth of our business.

A fast and reliable internet connection and suitable home working environment is essential. While it is possible to work from our Welwyn Garden City office, most of us choose to work from home (a setup we adopted long before COVID-19) so you could potentially live as far away as you're happy to commute every couple of months for company gatherings.
