The Endeavor network specializes in talent representation, sports operations & advisory, event & experiences management, media production & distribution, experiential marketing and brand licensing.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Footage/Archive Researcher will be required to obtain permissions and licences, secure rights clearances, negotiate rights fees and terms, and keep a track of rights in place and their expiration dates.

Due to the variety of material involved, applicants should be able to organise and document their research thoroughly, track rights efficiently and meticulously by creating detailed records, create corresponding tape/digital files logs and manage tape/digital files traffic, as well as manage the internal footage library.

The Footage/Archive Researcher will be a pro-active and self-sufficient worker, who is adept at communicating with and maintaining relationships with clients, alongside source providers on the clients’ behalf. He/She will have the opportunity to work within IMG’s branded content and commercials division, Evoke Films, and potentially support other productions within the department; however the role will primarily service 1x account.

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience

Mandatory
- Experience of working in an footage/archive/production environment
- Experience of copyright, legal issues and legislation surrounding archive clearance
- Experience in sourcing, clearing and costing footage from around the world
- Experience of logging rushes, selecting material for edits, and attending edit sessions
- Creation and management of research and back-up documentation
- Knowledge of different video, film and digital media formats

Desirable
- Sports knowledge, preferably of some of the following: Golf, Tennis, Equestrian, Yachting and Motorsports
- Experience of negotiating license agreements and contracts
- Experience managing a footage library including tape and digital files

Skills and Abilities

Mandatory
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Shows editorial initiative when identifying footage
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills
- Has a meticulous approach to work, and is adept at presenting detailed information clearly and accurately
- Can negotiate footage / license terms and agreements

Desirable
- Experience of client liaison and management
- Basic editing skills (Adobe Premiere)
- Ability to use software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign/Illustrator, MS Powerpoint#
- An interest in the following sports: Golf, Tennis, Yachting, Equestrian, Motorsports.
