We have a fantastic opportunity for a Test Analyst to join the join the team on a permanent basis.

Our IT department delivers operational support and several sizable business driven programmes at any one time, as well as supporting a large operational national user baseof 12,000 staff, 60,000 volunteers and almost 6 million members.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meetwith stakeholders and to carry out work.

What you'll be doing Joining the IT Team, you will work closely with Delivery Teams, Product Owners and end users to plan, carry out and support all kinds of functional, non-functional, acceptance and end-to-end testing. You'll be proficient in designing and planning appropriatetests, according to the acceptance criteria that have been defined. You'll be hands-on to carry out the tests and will maintain keen attention to detail and problem-solving approach in order to identify issues and defects.

You'll be clear and concise in the way that you document any results found, and will be able to advocate for the priority, severity and risk of any issues found to ensure that they can be fixed appropriately. You'll actively participate in team meetings,at times including third-party suppliers, and be equally comfortable communicating in this context as one-to-one with Trust colleagues, all the while exhibiting Trust values in these conversations.

You'll join the Testing Community of Practice and will help shape the direction of our testing approaches at the Trust by actively collaborating with colleagues. You will exhibit a strong drive to learn and extend your skills in order to develop within therole and will be keen to share knowledge with your peers.

For this positionwe’re looking for someone who has:

- ISTQB Foundation Test Certificate
- Previous Test experience
- Knowledge of traditional, modern and Agile testing methodologies
- Able to use various manual and/or automated test techniques to ensure that functional and non-functional requirements are met
- Keenness to add value and to deliver a quality finished product to our end-users, be they internal Trust staff or external Trust members
- Comfortable communicating with and influencing colleagues both within and outside of IT
- Self-motivated, organised with a curiosity to identify issues and problem solve
