The Clinical Skills Facilitator (CSF) will support the Practice Placement Facilitator (PPF) in facilitating high quality learning experiences for student nurses and trainee nursing associates (TNAs) and T Level students; managing the clinical placements within the Trust and providing continuing support and development for practice supervisors and practice assessors.

The post will also involve collaborative working with our partners, within the Higher Education Institutes, local colleges and the West Kent Consortium (for the TNA Programme) and will influence and develop the clinical learning environment for all student nurses and trainee nursing associates.

You will be a Registered Nurse with significant experience. You will possess a professional degree with current registration, and a practice assessor (previously mentor) qualification or equivalent.

The post will be covering across both the Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital sites.

**You will also have**: experience of teaching, supervising and assessing pre-registration students and TNAs in the practice setting; good communication and leadership skills; a problem solving approach; and be committed to providing a good clinical experience for pre-registration students and TNAs.

The post is within the Nursing and Midwifery Education Team would support the PPF:

- In the Trust’s achievement of the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s pre-registration standards and provision of high quality clinical learning environments for pre-registration nursing students and TNAs.
- To support ward/department managers to provide an appropriate clinical learning environment to all pre-registration students and TNAs.
- To improve patient care and promote best practice through effective induction, assessment and training of nursing staff.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
