**Social Activity Volunteer**:
We are looking for a Social activity volunteer to support our residents who live at Loxa Court in Elgin

**The Role**:
The Social Activity Assistant helps residents make full use of the communal lounge by assisting with a range of social activities. We are looking for Volunteers to support our customers with a revolving programme of social activities, including:
Organising activities in liaison with residents, staff and other potentially other volunteers.
Support residents with the activity
Preparing communal areas for group activities
Assist with serving refreshments
Encourage additional social activities
Spending time out and about on Social Outings

**Volunteer duties**:
Set up residents lounge area for social activities
Run activities in conjunction with residents
Assist with food and refreshments
Clear away after activity
Socialise with residents

**When we need you**:
We expect a regular commitment from all our volunteers
Once a week / fortnight / month
Monday to Sunday
Am and Pm

S**kills & Experience**:
No qualifications are necessary. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in working with older people, have good communication and listening skills, are reliable and willing to work as part of a team.

Hanover is one of Scotland’s largest registered social landlords specialising in services for older people. We manage more than 5,000 properties and provide a range of other services including telecare community alarm monitoring and housing with care. We work closely with our customers to help people live independent, secure and fulfilling lives.

**Other information**:
We will provide regular support and you will be reimbursed for any reasonable out of pocket expenses.

**Salary**: £1.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Volunteers will be required to wear masks in communal areas
