We have a wonderful opportunity for a Maturation Operator based within our Maturation North sites across Speyside

Salary of £31,035 including competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus

About the role

Within our hardworking team at Maturation Northyou’llbe responsible for the safe movement of spirit within an established set of process procedures. You will be required to support a range of activities including filling, warehousing (cask intake and removal), disgorging and empty cask handling, whist ensuring targets are achieved relating to quality, service, and cost.

You’ll ensure and maintain product integrity in line with quality assurance. 

Understanding warehouse removal schedules and adhering to these is important

In this role, you will operate the bar code reader, complete paperwork and ensure accurate updating of stock control system & transfer of information to meet Revenue and Customs accounting requirements.

Support with completion of compliance checks

Operate equipment / machinery (cask hardener, FLTs, cask handling equipment)

Flexibility to work at different locations within Speyside (fleet car provided)

Actively supporting and contributing to the Business strategies will be a constant requirement of the position.

You’ll respond promptly and appropriately to ALL emergency and breakdown situations.

The Role advertised is for Core Day Shift. (Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday 08:00 – 14:00) A flexible approach to working hours may be required to suit production demands or meet critical deadlines. There may be a requirement for overtime in busy periods.

About you

A strong understanding of Health and Safety is paramount to success.

The role involves both team and lone person working that requires effective decision-making and problem-solving skills as well as an ability to use initiative to adapt pre-set work plans. 

You’llpossess sound literacy and numerical skills and PC skills would be beneficial for the role. 

You must have a clean driving license. 

Experience of Working within Whisky Warehousing would be advantageous but not essential. 

Most important attribute will be to have the right behavioural skills, which demonstrate a “can do will do attitude"
