Payroll Manager

Careersolve are working with a well-established client who are consistently growing and are therefore looking for a **Payroll Manager** to join them on a permanent basis. This role could be based in any of their offices based in Durham, Darlington or Middlesbrough.

**Working Hours**:
- Core working hours are between 9.30 am & 4.00 pm
- Hours can be worked between 8.00 am & 6.00 pm
**The Role**
As a **Payroll Manager,**you will be responsible for the full payroll function to over 250 clients, start to finish payroll services including Auto Enrolment services.
**Duties and Responsibilities of thePayroll Manager**:
- To provide an effective and efficient end to end payroll service
- To review the work of the payroll team and ensure this is accurate.
- To undertake larger payroll duties.
- Liaise with clients on payroll matters
- To ensure that payroll activities meet legislative and statutory requirements
- To assist the Senior Manager with any further duties.
**Skills and Knowledge Required of thePayroll Manager**:
- Have high volume payroll experience gained in a payroll bureau. Practice experience is essential.
- Proven experience within a payroll Supervisor/Manager role.
- Strong people management skills
- Have working knowledge of payroll legislation and implementation of auto enrolment
- Have strong communication skills
- Be extremely organised
- Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Be a team player
- Have strong IT skills including Excel and Word
- Experience of using Sage
