**St. Anne’s Homeless Service’s - Senior Concierge Job Description**

**Job title**: Senior Concierge - 37.5 hours per week Rota based - 12.5-hour shifts, Days/Nights/Weekends

**Location**: St Anne’s Hostel & Park View move on accommodation

**Report to**:Director of service

**Salary**: £26,500 to £27,100 PA depending on experience

**Responsible for the following staff when on Shift** - Lead concierge Assistant Concierge, Overseeing kitchen staff & agency workers.

**Job purpose**

Provide a 24/7 reception service for residents, while also ensuring the provision of a safe and secure environment at St Anne’s and Parkview. To be the lead on voids management and liaise with referral agencies to source referrals into the organisation to maximize occupancy.

**Main Duties**

1) Provide a welcoming first point of contact for all callers both on the telephone and at the entrance. Make referrals as required to other staff on duty or on -call management.

2) To manage all aspects of the concierge staff rota with regard shift cover relating to annual leave and sick absences ensuring the 24-hour rota is covered at all times.

3) To participate and oversee health and safety checking within St Annes properties.

4) Provide line management support to the concierge team with a range of H.R duties including, supervisions, attendance meetings, general meeting and staff training.

5) Complete duties as allocated when on each shift which include:

- A) Control of cash, keys, internal radios, other valuables and the collection of rent and service charges.

B) Take and record all appropriate referrals and ensure the completion of induction procedures.

C) Completion of a range of housekeeping duties as and when required.

D) Record and Issue post for internal and external residents.

E) Supervision of meals provision when required.

F) Complete security check of St Anne’s and Park View premises at a minimum of two hourly intervals.

G) Complete other various designated checks including, fire alarms, water safety checks, fire equipment, housekeeping stocks and first aid boxes.

H) Complete various admin duties, incident report and file maintenance.

I) Signpost residents to other agencies appropriate to their needs.

J) Maximize room occupancy at the Hostel by organizing the clearance preparation for re-letting, of vacated rooms by two members of staff, to include the recording and verification of all cash, valuables, and left luggage.

**Main responsibilities**, To assist in the maintenance of a safe, secure and hygienic environment for our residents and colleagues while maximizing occupancy, and any duties commensurate with the post of Senior Concierge

**Communication**:

- Report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to their Keyworker, deputy manager or another member of the management team and ensure all concerns are recorded in the personnel file.
- Participate in staff meetings, as and when required.

**Health and Safety**
- To be responsible for your own Health and Safety and that of anybody else who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
- Promote safe working practice in the Hostel and other sites.

**General Duties**
- Take responsibility for the safeguarding of adults/children and to follow St Anne’s safeguarding policies.
- To participate in staff training as and when required.
- To participate in staff supervision, meetings and appraisals.
- Take responsibility for personal development by keeping abreast of developments in the field of housing, its barriers and the issues faced by our residents.
- To abide by St Anne’s policies and procedures.

**Terms & Conditions**:
**Contract**: Permanent

**Annual leave**:25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays and 4 concessionary days (pro rata for part-time working)

**Pension entitlement**: Access to contributory pension scheme

**Period of Notice offered and required**: 1 month after probationary period

**Conditions of Appointment**: Two satisfactory references including an enhanced DBS check.

**Salary**: £26,500.00-£27,100.00 per year
