Ocean Recovery & Wellness Centre is unique and innovative private Residential Detoxification and Rehabilitation Centre situated on Blackpool's North Promenade with superb views of Blackpool beach and the sea. Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and we believe that the care experience we give them should never be less than excellent, supporting them in achieving their identified goals and aspirations is pivotal. We are looking for a very experienced, talented, compassionate, dynamic, and committed Lead Therapist to join our team. You will have extensive groupwork delivery experience, a minimum of one year experience working with people in addiction, preferably, but not necessarily, in a residential setting. A minimum qualification of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and BACP registered along with experience or knowledge of Twelve Step and SMART Models. Extensive Group Work skills are imperative, as is a caring, consistent, reliable, creative, and person-centred approach to all the work that you do.
We support people through detoxification and in to our unparalleled and inventive rehabilitation programme. This consists of group work, 1:1 keyworker sessions and other therapeutic interventions. We also link in with AA and NA.
**Duties**:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with clients to address their substance misuse, mental health concerns and promote emotional well-being.
- Develop personalised treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Utilise evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to facilitate positive change.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of therapy.
- Participate in regular supervision and continuing education to enhance professional growth.
**Requirements**:
- BACP registered
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Experience providing therapy services to individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds and presenting concerns.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, drama therapy, trauma therapy, music therapy, art therapy and drama therapy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to client care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems or similar documentation platforms.
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Blackpool, FY2 9NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
