**RSK Biocensus**, an award winning CIEEM company who a part of the **RSK Group**, is recruiting a tenacious and passionate **Principal Ecologist** to join their growing UK ecology team. This role is permanent with **full time** & **part time** work patterns available.

This role will be a hybrid role, with flexible homeworking and client site work.

We are looking for someone to work with clients in **Glasgow**, and the surrounding areas.

As a **Principal Ecologist** at **RSK Biocensus** you can expect to get involved with management and delivery of all elements of field surveys, assessment, tender and report writing and project management

**Key Responsibilities**
- Principal Consultants have a key role within RSK Biocensus, winning work, providing leadership, technical advice and training, and leading by example.
- You will develop client relationships to ensure tender opportunities come into the business, based on successful delivery of previous tenders and projects.
- Providing leadership, direction and advice, acting at all times with professional integrity, and exercising sound professional judgment within (and recognising the limits of) your competence
- Supporting others to uphold professional standards; acting as a role model
- Developing your professional knowledge and skills; maintaining a personal CPD record and an upto-date professional CV
- Actively using the PDR process to set objectives for the year ahead that develop your skills and competencies in line with the team’s needs and your interests and aptitude

**Person Specification**
- 1st Degree in relevant discipline
- Relevant years experience since graduation
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Species specific personal licences are desirable
- Full membership with CIEEM.
- Abide by CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct.
- Working towards Chartership (CEcol unless CEnv has more relevance)

**Salary and Benefits**
- £40,000 - £54,000
