ASC Core, Support and Improvement Business Support services are key to the success of our Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Services. The Business Support teams are there ensuring things run smoothly so that frontline colleagues can deliver the services out in the community. Supporting our adult social care operational teams across a range of services including Strategic Management, Safeguarding, First Contact, Learning Disabilities, and the Social Work Learning Academy, the primary aim of this role is to provide support to the Social Work Learning Academy (SWLA), supporting both partner organisations, Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and Staffordshire County Council (SCC) to deliver on the One Staffordshire vision supporting the workforce strategy across for the Adult Social Care and Safeguarding workforce.

The role will focus on providing a range of core administrative duties to support staff and you will be a first point of contact for enquiries. You will use departmental databases and systems and the full range of Microsoft packages as part of your daily administrative work.

The main duties will tend to include:

- Maintaining, monitoring, and updating ICT systems including the input, retrieval and cleansing of data.
- Handling queries from the workforce regarding training needs and opportunities.
- Supporting the business support team for the SWLA with day to day tasks and administration functions to ensure the smooth operational running including diary management and bookings.
- Producing high level, accurate documents.
- Varied administrative and customer care duties.

Flexibility is a prerequisite for this role as there is an expectation that this is a dual functionality role able to provide support to both operational and central based teams/staff across Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and Staffordshire County Council (SCC) in supporting the Social Work Learning Academy (SWLA) business objectives and day to day operations.

Working in Business Support requires teamwork, good organisational skills and a good level of competency using IT systems.

You’ll also need:
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, further training will be given.

A flexible approach to work as sometimes things can change, and so you’ll need to be able to prioritise work and sometimes change tasks quickly.

The role will be part of the Business Support Service so there may be a requirement to work from other offices when required. We are, however, currently working both from the office and remotely and it is anticipated that this will continue.
