**The opportunity**

Working as a Driver Operative you can be sure that no two days will ever be the same. This is a high-paced role that requires quick thinking and exceptional organisational skills.

You will be delivering a broad range of goods, materials, SLG, and towed plants. Taking care of services from site delivery to engineers and including but not limited to stock checking and put away across warehousing and transport functions for several nominated delivery points.

**Key accountabilities**
- Delivery and put away of materials, stock checking at tertiary stores
- Delivery and stock put away into lockers, spare part shelving of materials, engineer orders, PPE, and hand tools/equipment
- Daily stock count of materials at tertiary stores
- Delivery of operational materials and plant to live sites
- Engaging and supporting gas engineers where appropriate
- Loading/unloading delivery vehicle
- Ensure housekeeping and 5s is carried out at stores
- Support role in secondary stores when required
- Working to site & contract specific SHESQ policies and procedures
- First point of contact for customers at tertiary stores
- Weekly reporting non-compliance / site checks from tertiary to line management

**What You’ll Bring**
- Essential - hold a current driving licence (cat C1, Driver CPC qualifications, and a digital tachograph card). Experience in towing preferred although training provided.
- Drive in a safe and efficient manner
- Knowledge and understanding of driver-vehicle checking
- Knowledge and understanding of driver behaviour monitoring, such as harsh braking, engine idling
- Able to work on own initiative, proactive approach, and can-do attitude
- Able to work within all legal parameters of driver hours, WTD legislation, being fully compliant with tachograph and break requirements
- Always committed to safety - Acting safely and encouraging others to do the same.
- Able to communicate with others effectively.
- Able to build effective working relationships with other colleagues and stakeholders.
- Able to accept the need for change and help others through new challenges
