**The Role**

We now have a new and unusual opportunity for a Document Controller to develop and implement document control and management processes and procedures. You will work collaboratively with the project team to implement document control systems and ensure robust relationships with internal and external clients. The role will initially be based in Capenhurst Chester, but after the 12-18 months in this role there is the potential to progress into a Trainee Project Manager.

**The Person**

Most importantly, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual who will thrive in a busy and constantly changing environment and is keen to learn and develop. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build robust relationships with key stakeholders at all levels. You will be keen to progress into a Trainee Project Manager role after the initial 12-18 months in this role.

**Travel and Flexibility**

You will be required to travel to multiple sites from your office base and be willing to stay overnight on occasion if required to meet the needs of the business.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Establish central document control and management processes to support project delivery
- Work within the company quality management system and ensure confidentiality around sensitive information
- Monitor and quality check project documentation prior to issue and ensure correct control of document production, approval, storage, and circulation
- Implement project filing systems
- Liaise with relevant departments across the company to ensure all documents are kept in the right location and that access controls are established
- Ensure all employees are following the document control processes and procedures in line with the quality management system
- Check and approve documents before issue or filing
- Continuously monitor and evaluate systems to look for improvements
- Prepare management information reports when required
**Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly developed organisational skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite
- Ability to develop complex filing systems

**Hours of Work**

You will be required to work 42.5 hours from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm though some flexibility will be required to cover shifts within the working window of 7am and 5pm.
