**Company description**

At Harrogate Auction Centre, you will be working alongside our auction team assisting with the day to day operations of a busy auction room. This role can often be physically demanding and involve lifting heavy furniture. Great opportunity to enter the world of auctions. Experience from a previous auction houses appreciated but not necessary as full training will be provided.

**Essential Criteria**:
**Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.**

**Must have the initiative to setup the auction room prior to the sale.**

**Able to work as a part of a team and on own initiative.**

**Provide exceptional service to all our customers and clients.**

**Reliable and adaptable, with a flexible approach to work and able to work under pressure.**

**Have a good Computer Skills.**
Have a valid driving licence to drive a commercial van

**Job Requirements/Duties**:
**The duties are repetitive and physically demanding requiring a reasonably high level of physical fitness.**

**Unloading vehicles and organising the saleroom day-to-day and preparation of items and furniture for the auction.**

**Assisting customers with incoming and outgoing of items, loading cars and vans.**

**Liaise with the office staff and prepare items for pack and despatch, delivery and collection.**

**Can prioritise jobs, be self-motivated and self-managing when required, but also happy to take instruction.**

**Dealing with enquiries and providing effective responses to all client and customer requests.**

**Maintaining the auction room in accordance with agreed standards of merchandising, housekeeping, cleanliness, and security.**
