We have an opportunity for a Resources Officer to join our Financial Services Team providing finance and admin support within the Special Educational Needs Resource Team. This is an excellent role to provide you with an opportunity to develop a range of skills.

**Salary**:£37,336 to £40,221 per annum (£18,668 to £20,110 per annum, pro rata)

**Working Pattern**:1x Part-time (18.5 hours) per week, would also consider 22 hours per week, term time only

**Location**:Based at County Hall, Chichester (Hybrid Working)

You will occasionally need to be able to travel independently to visit various sites and attend meetings across the county.

Due to changes within the team, we are looking to replace a support role we provide within our SEN Resource Team.

SENAT manages the decisions and processes concerned with the statutory education, health and care needs assessment process for learners with an education, health and care plan (EHCP), the placement of children in learning settings and the allocation of resources to settings.

The role will have a variety of responsibilities to ensure the Council is safeguarding public money. Based in Strategic Finance, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving processes and providing specialist financial and business support to the SEN Assessment Team and for the analysis and monitoring of financial and statistical data relating to the provision of support and placements for pupils with special educational needs.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate budgetary information and advising senior managers with regard to the strategic planning of the service and have responsibility for the development and use of financial and management systems including the identification and design of new systems to improve efficiency of the service. Ideally, you will be familiar with all statutory SEN legislation and guidance including the Children’s and Families Act 2014, and SEN code of practice but training can be provided.

Specifically, this role will include:

- Directly supporting the work of the Special Educational Needs Assessment Team (SENAT)
- Responsibility for maintaining and developing where required robust processes to monitor and maintain accurate financial records relating to pupils with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- To coordinate the data held by the Special Educational Needs Assessment Team (SENAT)
- Operationally update and communicate issues of tracking and recording of all data on pupils with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- To be accountable for regularly updating the Special Educational Needs database Resources Module (currently Mosaic)
- The role includes allocation of tasks to others and checking the work of others
