Full-time (37.5hrs/week), 1 year Fixed Term Contract

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Assistant Clinical Psychologist. This post forms part of the innovative Autism Team within Acute Mental Health Services (AMHS).

This role is intended to support autistic service users in an acute crisis to have a better experience of hospital and able to return safely to the community at the earliest opportunity. You will be an integral part of the AMHS Autism Team in promoting safe, effective and therapeutic care for autistic adults in acute mental health services. As part of a pilot project, this post offers an exciting prospect to contribute to service development and to develop clinical leadership skills.

You will be interested in developing your psychological skills in working with autistic people and people experiencing acute distress and understanding systems models that support inpatient ward safety. You will also be interested in research, audit and service evaluation.
