**About The Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Children Affected by Domestic Abuse team (CADA) as a Parent and Child Domestic Abuse Worker. In this role, you’ll be delivering support programmes direct to children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. You will work closely with internal and external partners responding to Merlins, Operation Encompass notifications and referrals.

CADA is part of Hounslow Domestic and Sexual Violence Outreach Service (HDSVOS) who deliver the Ofsted reviewed “Excellent” Violence Against Women and Girls One Stop Shop, that provides independent and confidential advice to survivors of abuse.

HDSVOS sits within the Community Safety Team which is responsible for providing life-saving frontline services, co-ordinating work across different disciplines, strengthening partnership and collaborative work, implementing innovative projects and ensuring the Council fulfils its statutory duties to make Hounslow safer for everyone.

**About The Team You’ll Be Working In**

In this role you will be part of a very busy dedicated team of professionals who provide an early help, specialist, wrap-around support service for children, young people and adult victims of domestic abuse who reside in the London Borough of Hounslow.

Within the service are a team of Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advisors and a dedicated team developing and facilitating groups addressing Violence Against Women and Girls in the borough. You will work alongside these workers jointly promoting the service and assisting with the Hounslow One Stop Shop, training sessions to schools and co-facilitating groups.

You will receive the full support from an experienced line manager and can expect a variety of development and training opportunities.

You will also have access to external clinical supervision and peer support meetings.

**About You**

Do you have the drive, enthusiasm, and initiative to deliver a range of age-appropriate support programmes to children, young people and adults who have been affected by domestic abuse. **You will**:
1.Manage a caseload of children, young people and adults affected by domestic abuse.

2.Have a thorough understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children, young people, and adults, including how to use legislation and best practice to safeguard them.

3.Liaise with schools to provide a holistic approach to supporting children and young people referred to the service.

4.Provide individual support sessions, either face to face or virtually, to children and young people affected by domestic abuse.

5.Have substantial experience of working with a broad range of diversity issues including barriers to accessing services

6.Have proven working experience of delivering a support service to children and adults and an interest in supporting the delivery of groups to children and adults affected by domestic
