We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper for our busy office in Central London. Founded in 2000, and located in central London, we provide a full range of immigration assistance and auxiliary services, thus offering a complete relocation package forboth individuals and businesses. We are providing all types of company formation, legal, banking assistance, property, accounting, payroll administration and tax services for our clients.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper - administrator to join our accountancy team. This is a full-time and permanent role to start ASAP.
This position suits either AAT or a partly qualified bookkeeper with strong bookkeeping and administrative skills.
We offer a competitive salary, dependent on levels of experience and qualifications.
**Job description**
The main responsibilities of the Bookkeeper will be but are not limited to:
- Processing transactions and managing the payables and expenses reporting.
- Liaising with colleagues to ensure accuracy and appropriate documentation.
- Support for monthly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and sales invoicing
- Managing all aspects of the day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining and organising the necessary records and files.
- General ledgers.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Process Sales and Purchase Invoices.
- Credit and Debtor Control, Preparation and management.
- Monitoring Cashflow.
- Preparation and management of quarterly VAT returns.
- Accountants preparation, Tax compliance, Auditing and Banking.
- Month-end account reconciliations, journal postings, accruals and pre-payments.
- Review financial data and prepare monthly management/flash reports.
- External compliance including liaising with HMRC, Banks, Accountants and Advisers where required.
- Preparation of weekly/monthly reporting including sales, cashflow, VAT position and credit control.
- Compiling end of year data for Accountants.
**Person Specification**
- At least two year’s experience working in an accounts/bookkeeping role.
- Good understanding and experience of using Xero accounting software.
- Self-motivated and highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Process driven, can effectively manage tasks, report progress, plan time and work to deadlines.
- Adaptable and happy to take on new challenges but recognise when to seek guidance.
- Can do attitude and willing to lend a hand with other teams when required.
- Experienced using Microsoft Office packages, able to use formulas in Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
