**Job Summary**:
Based in our brand new family space within the Bridge Shopping Centre, The Senior Support Coordinator will play a vital and pivotal role in providing direct assistance to the many families accessing our services. Their responsibilities include overseeing a daily drop-in service and managing a caseload of families, coordinating internal support services and referring families to external agencies as required.

They will also deliver our exciting new project, Embrace, a weekly programme that will be delivered in partnership with other external agencies and is aimed at providing a safe space for young adults who have experienced trauma in their lives.

Additionally The Senior Support Coordinator will be responsible for the line management and supervision of a small team of coordinators.

The role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, spread across five days and involves occasional evening and weekend working.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Welcoming service**:

- Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for families visiting us.
- Facilitate a daily drop in service and offer information, advice, and practical support to families facing challenges such as parenting issues, relationship difficulties, or financial hardship.
- Conduct initial assessments and signposting families to relevant internal or external services as needed.
- Engage and liaise with external support agencies operating within our space.

**2. Case Management**:

- Maintain a small caseload of families who are identified as requiring ongoing support, identifying their needs and developing personalised action plans.
- Monitor families progress and review support plans regularly to ensure effectiveness.

**3. Embrace**
- Facilitate a weekly talking project for young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
- Work with partner organisations to support the needs of people accessing this group.

**4. Line Management**:

- Line manage and carry out regular staff supervisions for a small team.
- Support the senior management team in ensuring our contractual obligations are being met.

**5. Record keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of interactions, referrals and outcomes.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly health and safety checks.

**6. Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to coordinate holistic support for families.
- Build positive relationships with partner organisations and community stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
**Essential**:

- At least two years professional experience working with children, young adults, or families in a support capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work empathetically with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Desirable attributes**:

- Relevant qualifications or training in social work, counselling, youth work, or a related field
- Line management experience
