Guidewire Application Support Specialist

This is an exciting and essential supporting role at a world leading insurance firm. As a Guidewire Application Support Specialist, you will add much more value than BAU support activities. You will be the centre of a transformation journey which looks to reengineer the relationship with business customers, improve the value provided by vendors and become deeply integrated with other wider IT Product and Platforms teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the business analyst to interpret, clarify, and plan for the implementation of user stories.
- Develop integration solutions including Batch Processes, Message Queues and Event Messaging.
- Establish and execute traceable unit and integration tests (automated as to be agreed).
- Engage with technical teams to ensure appropriate resolution of incidents, recording of resolutions and identification of bugs and defects.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Certification and experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and at least one full product implementation. GL, PL, CA and WC experience strongly preferred.
- Expertise in Guidewire APIs, GX Model and Product Models.
- Experience in GuideWire PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter and Java/J2ee programming and development.
- Hands on experience with Guidewire Configuration using Studio, GScripts/GOUS and Integration experience.
- Technical exposure to J2EEDesign Patterns Factory Pattern, Singleton, Session Facade, Service Locator, DAO.
- Advanced skills associated with software design, modification, implementation, and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts.
