With our continuing expansion plans, we have a newly created opening for a pro-active Materials Assistant to join our Services team. Assisting in this key integral and interfacing role, you will be responsible for the smooth day to day activities within the Materials division. Offering a wide variety of tasks, this position primarily aims to ensure all materials, components and parts are available to our artisans, including Watchmakers and Goldsmiths.

Reporting directly to Materials Manager you will strive to uphold our Laings brand high-quality service standards. _Our Glasgow, Head Office team assist 37.5 hours per week._
- **Here is How We See Your Role**:_
- Ensure new materials arriving are stocked appropriately, in a timely manner and issued to our stores and artisans in each of our workshops.
- Perform a wide variety of activities including inventory control, materials ordering and handling along with associated administration tasks.
- Assist with material stock takes.
- Source costings, all relevant information required for all enquiries which come from all our Stores and Workshops in relation to materials and place orders, when necessary, all in a timely manner.
- Allocate materials and work closely with the design team on upcoming and proceeded jobs.
- Confidently liaise with suppliers and follow through on enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Interact effectively with all areas of our business.
- Commit to continuous learning through our internal and external training programs to widen knowledge and pursue personal development.
- Responsibility of material stock holding in our Head Office and ensure no discrepancies.
- Ensure the Materials Manager is advised of any significant issues.
