We're looking for an Electrical Apprentice to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham, West Midlands, working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance and Installation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.

**Location**: Birmingham, West Midlands

**Contract**: Permanent

**Salary**: £16,000 per annum

**How does an apprenticeship work?**

As an electrical apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 2 apprenticeship in electrical maintenance and installation, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to maintain, operate and repair electrical systems.

Your day to day will include:

- Working efficiently, effectively and safely to keep costs within a budget and in accordance with drawings.
- Install and maintain highway electrical support structures, equipment and systems (e.g installing streetlight posts, traffic signal or safety camera poles, carrying out routine replacement of lamps)
- Carry out first lines emergency attendance and emergency works.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers and members of the public whilst carrying out the works.
