SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Compliance, Health and Safety Coordinator for a lovely business based in Sutton in Ashfield.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who has previous health and safety experience, working directly with the compliance, health and safety manager. You will need to have a minimum of two years working in a health and safety role.
Permanent position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm or 8:00am to 4:00pm, annual salary is up to £28,000 depending on experience.
The role:
- Responsible for FR - Fire Retardant
- Responsible for ensuring all FR, physical performance and reach documentation from the required supply base upon introduction to ensure that the appropriate general domestic standards are achieved liaising with the design and development team throughout thenew introduction cycle.
- Non-conformance database reporting
- QA Reports
- Check all fabric/leather introductions to ensure we possess the correct test results liaising closely with development team.
- Manage COC process
- Assist upholstery management with daily reports
- Produce monthly reports H&S Statistics from information supplied by all managers
- To assist in taking minutes of the Health & Safety meetings
- Prepare all the necessary waste packaging documentation for all suppliers on an annual basis for each brand.
- Scan works tickets for the examining and sewing functions on a daily basis
- Order first aid stock for site and arrange training for first aiders as and when required
- Liaison with cleaners to ensure smooth operation
- Create a continual improvement audit programme for ISO 9001/ 45001 and carry out necessary audits on a monthly basis in all areas. (Training required).
- Updating of all risk assessments within set time limits liaising with management team and operatives to ensure buy in at all levels.
- Create monthly compliance report to highlight any issues and suggestions for improvement
- First aid and mental health first aid would be advantageous.
