Job Introduction
Network Rail is seeking a Contract Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow your career in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

As a Contract Assistant, you'll be the glue that holds our operation together, supporting our suppliers and site managers with planned orders and ensuring contract compliance. Your day-to-day tasks will range from managing a team inbox to conducting deep-dive analyses and root cause investigations. And let's not forget, you'll also have the chance to leave your mark by setting up and managing an audit process for compliance and identifying preventative measures for defects.

We're looking for someone who can bring a smile to our faces with their ambition, positive attitude, and passion for continuous improvement. If you have a keen eye for detail and the desire to make a difference, this role is perfect for you. Strong Excel skills are also a must, as you'll be responsible for some reporting. (Don't worry, we'll keep the math to a minimum)

Route Services is a division of Network Rail, formed to provide our routes with services and supplies that they need in order to maintain and deliver a better railway for a better Britain. This opportunity sits within Lifts and Escalators, part of Engineering Service Delivery(ESD), a division of Route Services that procures safe, sustainable, products and services that are in turn used to improve and enhance the rail infrastructure across Britain. our aim is to deliver excellent value and service to our customers, helping the rail industry to work together to deliver a more cost-effective railway.

Our extensive supply chain network plays a crucial role in helping to run a safe and efficient railway.

Main Responsibilities
- Support the management to achieve the most cost effective, compliant delivery, service provision and continue improvement for Lifts and Escalators. Recording and analyse data to facilitate the provision of management information.
- Support the management of contracts to achieve the most cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Managing stakeholder expectations and supporting the service delivery agreed with our routes and regions
- Collate data on all transactions incurred in delivering contracts. Investigate and reconcile transactions and costs as part of an end-to-end process
- Develop effective relationships with customers and suppliers. Develop and maintain processes for effective query resolution
- Support the team as required, to deliver a comprehensive service to the business areas.
- Provide data, analysis and commentary for management reports.
- Assist in supporting the timely collection of compliance data and undergoing quality audits to ensure that the business quality target as met.
- Assist in identification and implementation of quality and efficiency improvement initiatives.

- Excellent excel and MS office experience
- Data and quality reporting
