**Uniting Staffordshire Against Hate** provides information, advice and or practical and emotional support to victims of Hate crime helping them to cope and recover from their experience, and to exercise their rights as determined by the Victims Code.

**Location: working across the Staffordshire south East area of the county including Lichfield, Burton, Tamworth and surrounding area**

**30 hours per week**

We are looking to recruit a Hate Crime Victim Care Coordinator (HC VCC) to join our team the roles will specialise in Hate Crime.

The role of a HC VCC is an exciting and diverse one. Involving providing practical, emotional support and reassurance to victims of crime/hate crime helping them to come to terms with what has happened to them or their loved ones and to reduce both the immediate and long term impact on them whilst working closely with Police, Local authorities, Housing Providers and other key criminal justice partners; and in instances of hate crime to tackle and eradicate hate within our communities.
- providing effective and high quality casework support to victims of hate crime to enable them to cope and recover from their experience
- facilitating Victim-led Restorative Justice interventions
- Supporting Victims to prepare for and attend court
- liaising with other Criminal Justice partners including the police on behalf of victims
- facilitating effective introductions and onward referrals to specialist services
- working agilely within a nominated geographical area

Applicants will be expected to work some unsociable hours including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
