**Job Title: Quantity Surveyor**

**Salary**: Competitive salary and Veolia benefits.

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm

Location: Hybrid role with homeworking and office based, Chesterfield S42 5UY

**What will you be doing?**

Commercially supporting the Veolia IWE National Services business unit, working closely with the wider operational teams and reporting to the Head of Commercial.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will primarily support Brettex Site Services Ltd, and other areas of the Veolia IWE National Services business unit as and when required, you will bring best practice commercial thinking to the operational teams from your previousexperience across a number of projects, whilst ensuring the transparency of the financial position through accurate cost/revenue control, forecasting, analysis and reporting, through to maximising the projects profitability by thorough contractual managementof the head contracts and vendor contracts.
- To deliver business unit P&L, budget revenue and EBITDA
- Identify and develop opportunities for improved commercial performance
- Existing customer retention and development
- Contract administration, change management etc
- To ensure that at all times the commercial interests of the delivery team are protected
- Leading, mentoring, and managing staff within the team
- Promoting good working relationships by acting in a respectful and professional manner at all times
- Demonstrating awareness of and assisting the site team to ensure that we comply with all HSEQ and statutory regulations
- Compliance with all Veolia policies and procedures
- Experience of estimating and putting in place effective cost control mechanisms
- Contract and Subcontract Management - Enquiry, Contract and Subcontract drafting, measure, valuation agreement & payment
- Supporting project procurement
- To provide timely and good quality management reports to the Head of Commercial and the senior leadership team when requested
- Commercial Support to other business departments
- Day to day commercial issues

**What are we looking for?**
- Experience as a quantity surveyor working for a main contractor, preferable
- HNC/HND/Degree in commercial management or quantity surveying, or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of various forms of contract including NEC
- Experience working for a main contractor, preferable
- Strong management and organisational skills
- Analytically astute with an attention to detail.
- A strong doer and hands on individual.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Driving licence
