Working with a leading brand based in Central Birmingham (2 days on site) looking for an IT Project Manager to join them on a 3 year contract. Starting salary of £52,000 + 40 days annual leave and a 21.6% pension contribution.
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering and/or quality assuring the programme as defined and agreed by the Services Senior Management Team, including:

- To successfully deliver the full implementation of the Reporting and Data project from initiation to deployment;
- To work collaboratively with other Project Managers, Leads, Planning and IT Services staff to develop detailed plans such as, defining project tasks and resource requirements, along with scheduling timelines and deadlines;
- To work closely with the Planner, Project Team and other Project Managers to develop structures for the effective management and administration of the implementation of the Reporting and Data Project (e.g. identification, solution, costing, milestones, anddelivery);
- To manage all the projects streams of activity and all the reporting aspects of multiple related projects such as the Programme Development and Administration and Technical Projects, to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievementof implementing the programme
- To develop and maintain a detailed risk register, and to regularly report on risks and exceptions which may affect the project;
Person specification
- Degree or demonstrable equivalent experience;
- Considerable technical project management experience, with a successful track record of managing projects within timescale and budget;
- Formal training in project management techniques and methodology, particularly PRINCE2 or APMP accreditation, is highly desirable;
- Good overall knowledge of programmes and projects processes;
- Experience in the preparation and monitoring of programme and/or project budgets, and a demonstrable ability to cost activities;
- Ability to communicate effectively is paramount; this includes being able to translate complex ideas for those without detailed project or financial knowledge;
- Excellent general IT skills, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and must be highly competent in Microsoft Excel;
- Ability to rigorously prioritise, and work to strict deadlines. This includes the ability to adapt to changes in requirements, often with short notice or immediate turnaround times;
- Ability to listen and communicate clearly and openly with others, both verbally and in writing, and with due consideration for institutional dynamics.
