Due to an internal promotion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Supplier Inventory Controller to join us on a permanent basis. You will be working closely with a great group of people with many years’ industry experience who are supportive, collaborative and extremely inclusive.
The role is based at our Capenhurst office (CH1 6ES) and there will be a requirement to travel to other locations which may include occasional overnight stays.
About the role:
You’ll be working with and reporting directly to the Supplier Quality Manager. Responsible for the management of stock across our portfolio of contract manufacturers as well as: - Completion of regular stock checks at supplier’s premises
- Manage and audit product test records from suppliers
- Identifying and addressing stock discrepancies
- Maintaining stock accuracy within our systems
- Processing material purchase orders for our subcontract accounts
- Managing material flow between suppliers
- Identifying & implementing improvements to our stock handling procedures
- Reporting monthly on excess/obsolete stock levels
- Monitoring and reducing levels of non-conforming material
- Supporting the wider Logistics team as required

What we’ll need from you:

- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Competency in the operation of MRP Systems
- Previous experience of dealing with suppliers is advantageous
- Inventory management experience is advantageous
- Audit experience advantageous
- An ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams
- A determined ability to overcome problems as they arise
- Full clean driving license and the ability to travel
- Knowledge of Power BI is not essential but would be a distinct advantage
