The role is based at our Capenhurst office (CH1 6ES)
About the role:
Be an integral part of the team running the ‘Front of House’ for the oil diagnostics laboratory. You’ll be liaising with all laboratory staff ensuring speedy and accurate oil sample registration including client receipt processing. Additional responsibilities include: - Informing the analysts of priority and urgent samples upon receipt
- Liaising and informing clients of issues with sample bottles, labels and shipments
- Accurate data entry inc. sample information, client oil sample history and shipment information
- Arranging sample collections and dispatch logistics with online courier system and clients
- Sample bottle processing, bottle cleaning, packing of sample crates and stock control
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping in ‘front of house’ maintaining good lab practices
- Manage stock levels, liaise with Lab Supervisor re: purchasing of new stock, arrange requisitions and liaise with suppliers to maintain Supplier Register
- Managing laboratory calls, liaising with clients and directing enquiries to relevant personnel
- Work within the guidelines of the laboratory QMS systems and contribute towards its successful delivery and maintenance.
- Identify and contribute to the continuous improvement process

What we’ll need from you:

- Excellent working experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Access etc.
- Highly self-motivated individual with an aptitude to learn
- Excellent organisational skills are essential to the role
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential
- Understanding of manual handling processes
- Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and manage delivery of tasks
- Practical experience in a similar role would be distinctly advantageous
- An understanding of H&S regulations, COSHH requirements, ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 operational practices would be advantageous but not essential
