**The Role**
Do you have hands-on experience of managing an organisation’s insurance arrangements? Keen to showcase your in-depth knowledge of insurance and progress your career within a leading Housing organisation? If so, we’re seeking an Insurance Officer to join our well-respected Assurance team.

The Housing environment in which we operate is complex, fast-paced and continually evolving. Reporting to the Head of Risk & Assurance and managing the Assurance Administrator, you’ll manage all insurance risk within the business, ensuring that we have the correct insurance needed to mitigate current and future business.

**As the Insurance Officer you will**:

- Oversee the insurance programme and maintain the insurance budget
- Ensure the right insurance policies are in place to meet the organisations risk
- Provide effective and prompt claims processing and handling
- Proactively engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to understand current and future needs of the business in relation to insurance, insurance risk and premium increases
- Be responsible for insurance renewals and play an active role in tendering for the insurance contract.
- You’ll hold a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (CII) or equivalent experience
- You’ll have proven experience of managing an organisations insurance programme within the Property, Housing or Building sector
- You’ll have proven experience of claims handling
- You’ll have experience and a thorough understanding of the principles of insurance cover, renewal and claim procedures, as well as loss control
- You’ll have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate, challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.

As a Smart Working organisation, you can expect a balance of working from the office (Birmingham, Bath Row) and from home - typically, a minimum of 2 days per week working from the office is expected but this may vary dependent on business needs.
