The objective of the Health and Safety Department is to ensure that the Company is compliant with all Health and Safety Legislations and all members of staff are suitably trained in all Health and Safety practices and procedures relevant for their area.

It is responsible for ensuring that all risk assessments are carried out, and risk controls are followed by staff, with incidents reported as appropriate.

It is also responsible for ensuring that all work equipment is used appropriately to avoid damage or risk to people, property, or product and that it is appropriately maintained and checked.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all requirements of national and international standards and legislation are implemented and adhered to with respect to the Health and Safety Department, to include ISO13485:2016/EN ISO 13485:2016, ISO9001:2015 and MDSAP and others/updates as applicable.
- Maintain chemical composition of products on Safety Data Sheet software programme and manage all updates of safety data sheets.
- Manage and compile safety data sheets for all finished products in all applicable language variants.
- Ensure compliance of all product safety information with GB/EU CLP.
- Interface with Research and Development, Product Management, Regulatory and Creative for all product classifications using company processes.
- Utilising company safety data sheet software to advise Research and Development department on development product hazard profiles.
- Advise Sales, Customer Services, and other applicable internal departments on products safety profiles for communication to end users.
- Active input into FMEAs for new and existing products.
- Active input into pFMEAs for new and existing processes.
- Active input into Post Market Surveillance.

**Requirements**:

- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to ensure that all work is correct and adheres to relevant regulations
- Organisational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of chemical compositions and raw materials used in product formulations.

Qualifications:

- Scientific qualification desirable (GCSE/A-Level/Degree).
- Full training will be given on responsibilities outlined above.
