Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our team at First Call Contract Services in Newmarket. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of food products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Complete tasks in line with all risk assessments and company procedures.
  • Work in a safe manner, observing all health and safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
  • Responsible for handling food products, maintaining high personal hygiene standards, and observing all company hygiene, quality, and housekeeping rules.
  • Ensure equipment and working areas are cleaned to company hygiene standards prior to production runs.
  • Maximize yield by assessing product quality and ensuring compliance with product specifications.
  • Work as part of the production team to achieve daily targets without compromising product quality, food safety, or personal safety.
  • Operate machinery in accordance with training and relevant skills.
  • Support continuous improvement in all areas of the operation to enhance efficiency, hygiene, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork for relevant tasks.
  • Monitor checks to be completed as required, including temperature, visual quality, length, weight, labeling, and health and safety start-up checks.
  • Escalate issues impacting production and seek corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a busy factory environment.
