Boeing in the UK provides aircraft maintenance services to various customers in both the commercial and defence sectors. During our Apprentice Programme, Apprentices learn about and get practical hands on experience of maintaining commercial and defence aircraft on various fixed wing and rotary platforms such as but not limited to; the Chinook, Apache, P-8A, C-17, Boeing 737 and 787 aircraft. There are currently 49 Aircraft Maintenance Apprentices in the UK with an expectation of immediate growth. Boeing is now looking for an Apprentice Support Specialist to support the Apprentices and the Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice Manager.

This three-year, world class, IET accredited programme is aimed at developing highly motivated individuals into professional Aircraft Technicians. This unique dual traded programme will be located at the various sites Boeing operates
in the UK, throughout the programme. A willingness to travel and work in different locations is a requirement.

The programme is uniquely underpinned by the UK-CAA Aircraft Engineers Licence. The apprentice will study towards Level 2 foundation competence qualification, Level 3 development competence qualification and Level 3 Development Technical Knowledge qualification.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide mentorship, pastoral care and welfare support to apprentices enrolled into programme.
- Provide interface between the early careers team and apprentices, with a focus on technical training aspects of the programme delivery and content.
- Provide support to apprentice manager to ensure course and syllabus aligns with industry and business needs with a focus on safety and integrity in line with Boeing Values and Priorities.
- Provide support to apprentice manager to ensure delivery of training is to the highest possible standard.
- Provide interface with local onsite management and apprentices during their on the job placements.
- Assist with the placement of apprentices and design work placement schedules to ensure an understanding of all the functions is secured.
- To highlight and provide support to apprentice manager to ensure performance management of apprentices is carried out at all phases of the programme.
- Provide support to apprentices during End Point Assessment to include facilitating workshops with the IET.
- Assist with the recruitment of apprentices.
- Assist with transition from apprentice to full time employment.
- Travel to RAF Odiham, AAC Middlewallop, RAF Brize Norton, RAF Lossiemouth and London Gatwick and any other Boeing site as required.
- Support STEM activities and promote the STEM strategy.

**Requirements**:

- Experience within an aircraft maintenance environment.
- An understanding of apprenticeship programmes.
- A keen interest in developing early career talent.
- Ability to travel.
