Responsibilities - Manage a portfolio of trials within the NIHR Trust Wide Team & Cancer Division, including setting up clinical trials and trial management for research studies. This pivotal role will also raise the profile of clinical trials within the centre and ensure trials are properly conducted according to the Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research governance framework and are compliant with the EU Directive for clinical trials. The post holder will also have Line Manager responsibility for Trial Administrator/ Clinical Trials Assistant or Clinical Research Coordinator. Experience Needed Essential Criteria
- Research and healthcare background
- ICH/GCP Trained Desirable Criteria
- Experience in managing a study portfolio within a large organisation
- NHS experience
- Project Management training Aptitude & Skills
- Motivation for research
- Attention to detail
- Organisational skills
- Able to work alone or as part of a team
- Able to prioritise tasks
- Communication skills
- Ability to work under own initiative and independently outside the department without direct supervision. Able to prioritise tasks and cope with deadlines
