Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Garden Maintenance:
Garden maintenance is a critical aspect of this role, and you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients' outdoor spaces are not only aesthetically pleasing but also healthy and vibrant. Your specific duties in garden maintenance will include:

- Weeding and Soil Preparation: Thoroughly remove weeds from flower beds, lawns, and garden areas. Prepare the soil for planting by tilling, adding fertilizers, and improving soil structure.
- Pruning and Trimming: Skillfully prune trees, shrubs, and hedges to promote healthy growth and maintain desired shapes. Trim and shape plants to enhance their aesthetic appeal
- Planting: Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation according to design plans. Pay careful attention to proper planting depth, spacing, and soil conditions.
- Irrigation: Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure plants receive adequate water. Adjust irrigation schedules based on seasonal requirements;
- Pest and Disease Management: Identify and address common garden pests and diseases promptly. Implement environmentally friendly pest control methods.
- Seasonal Maintenance: Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf removal in the fall and snow clearing in the winter (if applicable).

Landscape Design and Installation:
In landscape design and installation, you will actively contribute to the transformation of outdoor spaces into captivating and functional landscapes. Your responsibilities will
encompass:

- Project Planning: Collaborate with landscape architects and senior team members to understand project specifications and design plans. Assist in the development of project timelines and budgets.
- Site Preparation: Prepare the project site by clearing debris, grading terrain, and ensuring proper drainage. Remove old landscaping features when required
- Hardscape Installation: Skillfully install hardscape elements, including patios, pathways, retaining walls, and outdoor structures. Ensure precise alignment and structural integrity.
- Plant Selection and Placement: Participate in the selection of suitable plants, trees, and shrubs for each project. Follow design plans for plant placement, considering factors such as growth habits and aesthetics.
- Material Handling: Safely handle and transport landscaping materials such as stone, soil, and construction materials.
- Irrigation and Lighting: Assist in the installation of irrigation systems and outdoor lighting to enhance the functionality and beauty of the landscape.
- Quality Assurance: Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure that every element of

the landscape is installed to the highest standards. Make necessary adjustments to achieve design precision.
- Project Documentation: Maintain records of materials used, project progress, and any modifications made during installation.

Client Communication:

- Interact professionally with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice on plant selection, garden layout, and maintenance.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.

Health and Safety:

- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and protocols.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing tasks.

Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate effectively with other team members and landscapers to complete projects efficiently.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior gardeners and landscape workers.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in gardening and landscaping is essential.
- Knowledge of plant species, soil types, and garden maintenance best practices.
- Proficiency in using landscaping tools and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with clients.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to client locations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £23,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 - 50 per week
