An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time Vascular access Advanced Practitioner in Interventional Radiology Theatres cross site. The successful applicant must be able to work highly autonomously in justification and performing line insertions and independent reports and will need to work closely with the Lead Consultant Radiologist and the vascular interventional radiology team.

Main duties of the job

The Vascular Access Advanced Practitioner will provide clinical expertise by demonstrating appropriate expert practice and specialist advice in the area of insertion of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC Lines) and also Central Venous Lines under ultrasound and/or fluoroscopy guidance as the course of their role develops
This will demand high levels of autonomy and advocacy and approximately 80% time spent clinically.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Provide clinical expertise by demonstrating appropriate expert practice and specialist advice in the area of vascular access

This advanced practice post will require working closely with the Lead Consultant Radiologist and the vascular interventional radiology team

Manage a caseload of patients, as appropriate within the speciality, delivering individualised and personalised direct patient care, obtaining informed patient consent

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
