Head of Demand Management

The Head of Demand Management will be fully responsible for the development of our long-term strategies to reduce water demand in conjunction with other tools (Smart Metering, tariff trail, Digital App and Save our Streams Water Footprint), which influence customer behaviour change that deliver water saving which are sustainable for the future**.**
This role has overall accountabilities for all activities associated with our demand management strategy to reduce our customers water use. The primary focus of this position is to manage all demand and metering delivery across Affinity Water (AW) for our household and non-household customers that drive reduction in water use.
**Principal accountabilities**
In this senior leadership position, you will have outstanding customer focus with a proven track record of delivering success. You will work closely with the directorates of Customer Experience, Asset Management and Customer Delivery through ensuring a positive commercial environment in which we can deliver a sustainable service for our customers.
- Manage the commercial relationship with multiple delivery partners, leading the metering strategy across our core customer base (circa 1.5m households) and our Non House-Hold Business customers.
- Ensure that Affinity Water (AW) is seen as industry leading across external groups, including CWW, Ofwat and Water UK.
- Ensure AW fully comply with all regulatory licenses, codes and guidance, including charging rules and competition law.
- Responsible for delivery of the Per Capita Consumption Performance Commitment for AW and supporting / contributing to the C-Mex performance commitment delivery. To enable the delivery of these performance commitments the role will drive our demand management reduction plans which support reduction in water use. Alongside these key metrics, this role will also support the following ODI Targets:
- Delivery of our Universal Metering programme (UMP)to achieve increased meter penetration.
- Delivery model build for our Smart Metering plan for AMP 8 and beyond
- Foster a strong positive relationship with key internal stakeholders.
- Develop wide ranging business plans which align with changes in the regulation and drive both improvement and performance commitment achievement.
- Hold a breadth of knowledge of the market and technical detail for metering and behavioral water demand management.
- Lead the team to deliver against core scorecard / performance objectives whilst supporting wider business contact that ensures optimal engagement levels exist.
- Responsible for all operational processes and delivery mechanisms with a view to increasing quality, efficiency, and productivity across areas of responsibility.
