**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Style and Interiors Editor has responsibility for planning and producing style and interiors editorial content for House Beautiful. Creating content as well as repurposing existing editorials from the Hearst network and archives. This role requires a strong writer as well as solid visual skills.
- Attending meetings to ‘sell in’ style and interiors stories to the Style Director
- Under the direction of the Group Style and Interiors Director, commission, research, interview, write and edit features and news pages for editorial from concept to final sign off
- Awareness of the latest home and lifestyle trends, plus an innate ability to see how to translate them into inspiring and relevant content
- Working with the Group Style and Interiors Director to originate editorial stories for House Beautiful. As much as possible, all ideas should be planned for multi-channel publishing and repurposing
- Curate visual assets for stories that don’t require shoots
- Maximise all opportunities for sourcing low-cost content including book extracts, and features from the Hearst archives
- Support the Group Style and Interiors Director to conceptualise, organise and execute editorial and licensing shoots, attending when necessary. Assisting the administrative and productive side is vital-this wont be in a styling capacity

General:

- Managing budgets and schedules to ensure that content is always delivered on time and on budget
- Be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.
- You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.

**ABOUT YOU**
- An individual with exceptional creative conceptual skills and commercial awareness of the homes industry with the ability to translate into high-quality editorial content
- A person with excellent visual editing and writing/journalist skills with an ability to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Someone with a strong visual eye with a good understanding of how to plan, create and deliver content for multi-channel use. Shoot and styling experience is desirable but not essential-please note this is not a Styling role.
- Someone with a highly collaborative, can-do attitude, respect for authority, good communication and listening skills who can work on brand and to brief and is able to take on constructive feedback
