Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a facilities assistant plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service. **We are recruiting for two roles and please note provided all duties can be covered, there is flexibility on the amount of hours/shifts given to each role.**
**Role 1**
960 hours from start date to September 2023. Working 37.5hrs during school holidays and 15 hours during non-school holidays. The working hours will be on a rota which will include one weekend day per week, sometimes two depending on the business needs.
**Role 2**
7.5 hours per week - Saturday or Sunday to be discussed at interview. There will be the opportunity to increase these hours during school holidays and bank holidays. This role is fixed term until December 2023.

What it's like to work here This role will be based at Hardcastle Crags a stunning woodland valley in the heart of Calderdale. Our Facilities are mostly based at Gibson Mill, our off-grid visitor hub and offices, nestled in the middle of the woodland. You'll be part of a thriving teamdedicated to protecting and conserving this special place.
The Mill offers visitors a Café and exhibition/event spaces, and hosts weddings during the Spring and Summer months. The facilities team play a vital role in supporting these activities.

What you'll be doing As the Facilities Assistant, you'll assist with the day to day presentation the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning and maintenance ensuring all our facilities are kept in good working order.You'll also be asked to help with manual work such as unloading deliveries.
Duties such as cleaning and litter picking will form a core part of the role, both inside and outdoors. General caretaking and maintenance work, as well as helping within other teams will also form part of your role. You’ll ensure the highest standards ofcustomer service across the area by always implementing a ‘customer comes first’ attitude.
