This is a key role within the Mental Health Single Point of Contact SPOC service, which will be facilitated through the national 111 service. The successful post holder will ensure that all components of the service are undertaken to high standards, demonstrating leadership to build trust and inspire motivation and teamwork. This will include supporting the Service to maintain professional clinical standards and be professionally accountable for the delivery of its associated functions. They will provide highly specialised clinical advice to other mental health professionals as well as their direct reports, acting as the clinical decision maker when triaging individuals with sometimes multiple and highly complex mental health needs.

The successful applicant will provide a lead role in supporting the evaluation and management of clinical triage to ensure a range of recovery focused interventions with clear outcomes are provided to enable individuals to reach their full potential, utilising Third Sector organisations and community resources to maximise their recovery. This will include promoting an environment that demonstrates good learning experience for staff and facilitating self-reflection of the team and personal development.

The post holder should be flexible and adaptable to accommodate the needs of the service, contributing to and improving the performance of the service. In the absence of the Clinical Lead, the successful post holder will take lead of the service and will also be required to take part in on call provisions.
