An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist post within Flintshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in North Wales. This is a full-time permanent post. The post is based in Mancot in Flintshire with travel into the community across Wrexham and Flintshire. Flintshire CAMHS has a team of Clinical Psychologists, as well as committed and supportive multi-disciplinary staff from a range of professional backgrounds.

Flintshire CAMHS offers a full range of assessment and therapeutic services to early years and school-aged children and adolescents and their families. This includes play based and mental health assessments, interventions for mental health problems, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working and early intervention and prevention work within the local community.

To assist in the provision of a psychological service to clients within the specialty under the direction of the supervising clinical psychologist.

To be responsible for the planning and prioritisation of own workload and activities following the direction and guidelines given by the supervising clinical psychologist.

To undertake assessments of clients and implement programmes of care or intervention following guidance from the supervising clinical psychologist.

To undertake research activities as required and directed by the supervising clinical psychologist.

To work within guidelines given by the supervising clinical psychologist.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
