**Position Overview**: We are seeking a skilled and motivated General Administrative Assistant to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation of various departments within the organization. This is a 6 month temporary contract with the view to be made permanent. _**Excel spreadsheets play a significant part in this role so experience using Excel to at least an intermediate level is compulsory.**_

**Responsibilities**:
**Administrative Support**:

- Provide comprehensive administrative support across different departments (transport, technical, health and safety to name a few).
- Assist in handling day-to-day tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.
- Placing orders with suppliers.
- Obtaining competitive quotes.

**IT Proficiency**:

- Demonstrate fluency in IT skills, with a specific focus on Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Utilize Excel for data analysis, spreadsheet management, and reporting.

**Communications**:

- Effectively communicate with team members and external stakeholders.

**Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate and organized records for various projects and tasks.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

**Meeting Coordination**:

- Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, and recording minutes.
- Ensure meeting rooms are ready for meetings.

**Collaboration**:

- Work collaboratively with colleagues from different departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

**Other Duties May Include**:

- Completing risk assessments within a factory environment

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Transport Regulations would be advantageous but not compulsory.
- Positive work ethic and can do attitude.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C and above (or equivalent); additional qualifications in administration or a related field are a plus.
