We are seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Training Secretary to provide clerical and administrative support as part of the Training team, on the Hartree National Centre for Digital Innovation (HNCDI) in the Explain workstream.

The Explain workstream is responsible for the delivery of a range of training courses in the digital innovation space, designed to meet the needs of organisations of varying sizes. The Explain Training program addresses the training needs of mid-career staff via online/hybrid learning with various background knowledge and engage with organisations through workshops and webinars.

You will be involved with the coordination and implementation of office procedures and your tasks will relate to delivery of the Training program and the administrative support of the Learning Management System (LMS).

**About the role**

You have to be organised and independent, as well as having the ability to multi-task and work to set deadlines.

You can receive training to work with online systems, collaborative tools and some presentation and communication skills, including if required, upskilling through Business Administration Apprenticeship (level 3).

**Duties Include**:

- Liaise with staff in other teams, departments and with external contacts
- Schedule and attend meetings; create agendas, take minutes and record actions using collaborative tools
- Keep team diaries and arrange appointments
- Printing, collating and disseminating of documents
- Book meeting rooms, conference facilities and engage with subcontractors
- Present in a professional manner The Centre as first point of contact

**Person Specification**:

- Experience of using Microsoft Office toolset including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (S&I)
- Some experience with booking, ticketing or learning management systems (S&I)
- Capable of coordinating training or events (S&I)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and workload and meet deadlines (I)
