This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Health & Safety to join a small and friendly Health & Safety team, in a proactive and hands on role, where you will bring your knowledge and expertise to guide our colleagues and contractors across the breadth of Health & Safety disciplines, including Building Safety and Fire Safety.
- About the role_

We are looking for a best-practice focused, approachable Health & Safety professional, with a good understanding and knowledge of all relevant legislation and best practice applicable to health & safety in the social housing sector.

The Head of Health & Safety should have excellent written and spoken communication skills in order to explain health and safety requirements to a range of people, deliver group presentations and toolbox talks, train and coach individuals and to write a variety of reports. The role holder is also Cobalt’s lead contact with local, relevant authorities including the HSE and Fire Authorities.

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- directly in or in partnership with the housing sector: 5 years (required)
- maintenance of ISO 9001 & knowledge of ISO 45001 & 14001: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Professional H&S qualifications equivalent to NEBOSH Diploma (required)
- NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (required)
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (required)

Work authorisation:

- United Kingdom (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in LIVERPOOL
